February 24 – The Gourmet Marche Snowshoe Tour is back at Tawingo Outdoor Centre
The Tawingo Outdoor Centre eagerly announces the return of its celebrated Gourmet Marché Snowshoe Tour for its third year, joining the ranks of nationwide outdoor culinary extravaganzas. All you need to bring are snowshoes and a craving for delectable delights crafted by Muskoka’s talented chefs!
This event encapsulates the quintessence of living in Muskoka: the camaraderie of friends, the splendour of our natural surroundings, and the indulgence in uniquely prepared, sumptuous cuisine!
For the epicureans among us (yes, that’s you!), the choice is yours—to snowshoe at your leisure, don fun costumes, and savour delectable dishes presented by local chefs at five stations across marked routes. Additionally, participants can qualify for enticing door prizes, all while contributing to the noble cause of supporting the Huntsville Hospital Foundation!
Tickets go on sale Monday, January 15th, 2024. Registration is limited and we expect to sell out! Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email for your registration and payment. Additional information will be sent your way closer to the date.

Every year, compassionate residents and cottages alike create their own fundraising events and deliver the proceeds to Huntsville Hospital.
Want to rally friends, family and coworkers to support your passion? We’ve made it simple for you to host your own event to benefit Huntsville Hospital. An event is a great way to raise funds to support great healthcare. The event possibilities are endless. With a few clicks, you can set up your own fundraiser to rally your supporters to support Huntsville Hospital. Click the button below to start your online fundraiser.
We can provide the following assistance:
- Offer event planning advice/expertise
- Discuss ideas and best practices
- Provide resources including templates and documents to assist you in planning and organizing a successful event
- Issue tax receipts, if applicable (please ask your HHF about receipting before discussing with your attendees. HHF adheres to all Canadian Revenue Agency guidelines.)
- List your event on the Foundation website and share on our Facebook and Instagram platforms
- Provide approval for the use of HHF name and/or logos
- HHF can provide promotional material for your event if available and quantities to be discussed on a per-event basis
- Provide a Letter of Support to validate the authenticity for your fundraising event
- Offer representative(s) from HHF to attend your event applicable and subject to availability
- Help you create your own personal or group JustGiving fundraising page

Charity Golf Tournament at Bigwin Island Golf Club
There’s something special about playing at Bigwin Island Golf Club. Every swing is accompanied by breathtaking views of pristine greens and the shimmering waters of Lake of Bays. For the last 10 years, these surroundings have been the backdrop for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Charity Golf Tournament.
Your support has helped us raise close to $1.5 M for much needed equipment and technology. We cannot thank you, our donors, sponsors, volunteers and of course, our hosts at Bigwin Island Golf Club, enough!
This year marks the Start of a New Era! We are at a pivotal moment, as planning is underway for the NEW Huntsville Hospital.
We have decided it’s important to pause the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Charity Golf Tournament for this year, as we prepare for the next phase and plan for the launch of what lies ahead.
Thanks to you, our ‘Focus on Imaging’ campaign is almost complete and all diagnostic imaging technology upgrades, including Muskoka’s first MRI, will be in place very soon. And once again, thank you for your ongoing support. This event has truly created memories of friendship and philanthropy that resonates far beyond the fairways.
